The firm has been building since 1998 and is owned and operated by Ron Freeman, a native of Savannah. He has lived here his entire life, except for spending a few years in Atlanta. He is the author of Savannah: People, Places, & Events, a History of Savannah that has been a best selling guide since its publication. He has also authored several other books on Savannah history.

First City Builders is independently owned and our customers deal directly with one of the principals. We are proud of our reputation for dependability and financial stability. We enjoy a good relationship with lending institution and subcontractors. Our hands-on approach and flexibility with clients has earned the respect of buyers. In addition to the current project at Yorktown Place, we have developed Brockington Square, an 80-unit condominium project in Savannah and numerous single family homes.
